The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and Dom Pérignon present ‘House of Gestures’, a performance by Tilda Swinton and Olivier Saillard
The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and Dom Pérignon have joined forces and invited Tilda Swinton to give life to a performance and a series of representations called “House of Gestures” designed by Olivier Saillard, curator and performer, and inspired by Dom Pérignon and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao’s iconic architecture. Swinton will perform to the public on June 5 and 6, 2026, in the Atrium of the Museum.
In 2025, Dom Pérignon revealed “Creation is an eternal journey”, a new creative chapter deeply rooted in its unwavering commitment to creation and its ongoing dialogue with iconic creators, including actress and artist Tilda Swinton.
In 2026, a new episode of this initiative will take place. Tilda Swinton will present an original work conceived around gesture, presence, and transformation performed by in the context of an unprecedented partnership between the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and Dom Pérignon.
Allowing the audience to travel through space and time to release emotions, in this new collaboration between Tilda Swinton and Olivier Saillard, Swinton’s scenic language unfolds through rhythmic gestures as a form of writing, capable of giving meaning to the scene through action alone. Thus, before the viewers’ eyes, the inanimate space of the stage becomes a “place,” evoking situations and characters whose stories—whether real or imagined—are revealed through the garments Swinton wears and changes in real time.
